Activity Type: Day Hiking, Rock Climbing

Difficulty Rating: Beginner

Itinerary: I plan on checking into the campground on Saturday May 21 around 6pm ( I work until 2 PM), You can check in early if you like. Sunday will be a hike up folding mountain trail from the base of the Brewery to the peak of Folding Mountain, the day will end at the door to the Brewery after the hike. I will look for a site with a fire pit for a group fire both nights.

Monday is up for Lake scouting (Wildhorse / Kinky), for a future canoe weekend , And / Or some light, early season climbing at Shredder Reef inside the Park. Climbing is Weather dependant. I will be setting Top Ropes for Beginners, Intermediates or Experienced Beginners can lead climb as you wish. I will get 2 rope kits from the club for the weekend.

Return to Edmonton after a morning activity with a Pizza stop at L & W in Hinton.

Prerequisites / Courses Required: You are required to book your own camp spot or Room in the motel : reservations@jaspergates.ca

You should also have a short (5km) hike or two under your shoes by that date. I will be reviewing applicants for fitness levels upon registration. 

Anyone planning to climb should be able to top rope belay and have a belay check from a climbing gym.

Required items to bring: Camping Gear, Hiking Gear, Fun, happy smiles. Rain Gear ( be prepared) Climbing harness, Helmet and shoes.

As per club guidelines, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.
