Organizer: Megan Jones

Activity Type: Cross-Country Skiing

Difficulty Rating: Beginner, Intermediate, Difficult

Itinerary:

Meet at Hinton Nordic Center, main lodge (first parking lot), at 10:30am. A later start time gives people the option to drive out that morning.

Talk about trail options (there are 35km of groomed trail, ranging from beginner to expert, both classic and skate ski) and split into groups, if necessary. Come up with a plan to arrange for meeting up at various locally-recommended locations.

Step, slide, and glide to our heart's content.

Sunday: meet at Jarvis Lake Campground at 9:00am and have an easy ski to a plane wreckage in Joachim Valley. Then warm up around an outdoor fire and reminisce about the fun we had, before heading home just after lunch.

*Participants are welcome to attend for 1 or 2 days.

Prerequisites / Courses Required:

Participants must purchase a Day-use pass for the Nordic Center (Saturday only). This can be done at https://hintonnordic.ca/register-fees/
