Itinerary: I have the Kinky Lake camp ground booked outside of Hinton from Friday night including Saturday night. It is a basic tenting and camping spot beside a lake. Once you register I will require payment for a tent spot before the trip. We can travel to Juno wall Saturday July 1 for some climbing. There are many routes there with lots in the 5.9 to 5.11 range. There are some 12,s if that’s your Jam. Northern Exposure is the guide book for reference. I have Friday off and will travel to jasper Thursday night, so if any one wants to climb Friday, I’ll be looking for a belay.

Bo will lead ridge hiking Saturday. In that area there is excellent and scenic hiking. She will lead a group on a hike while the climbers climb. In the later afternoon we will all meet back at Juno wall trail to head back to camp, eat and clean up then head to Jasper for the Excellent fireworks that evening. After the fireworks, we will head back to the Tent site for a fire and beverage.

Sunday can be another hike day or climb for any one interested, site location TBD, maybe Miette Hotsprings. We will begin the return to Edmonton in the afternoon with a stop at L&W in Hinton.

Feel free to stay over Sunday night with your own schedule.

Prerequisites / Courses Required: At a minimum you must be top rope certified at a gym to climb and should be able to climb a 5.10 top rope route. Juno does have higher grades, so there can be a top rope set up, or you can lead to your hearts content.

Required items to bring: Camping/ tenting equipment, outdoor clothes appropriate for the forecast, climbing equipment suitable to your level of experience ( see Prerequisites above ) National park pass.

I will have a club rope and anchor package available. I’ll have my own rope as well.
