Difficulty Rating: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

Itinerary: Lets meet at the Waskehegan staging area at 5:30 pm. we can ski by a variety of trails to Meadow Cabin, stop for a break and return to the parking via a shorter route about 8:30 approx. Our plan is to see the fullish Moon rise. We are expecting to cover up to 15 km during the evening.

Prerequisites / Courses Required: You must be able to cross country ski with at least a beginner ( snow plow to stop and turn ) ability. You should have a fitness level to be able to ski for 3 hours if required. There may or may not be grooming completed.

The Snow outside the city is much better than inside. There is actually good coverage over the areas to the East 1/2 hr.

Required items to bring: Nordic ski gear, appropriate clothing for layering , headlamp, fluids , body fuel to replace your calorie burn,

Directions to Waskehegan Staging : Follow 82 ave East through Sherwood Park and continue on Wye Road (Highway 630) directly east until the road makes a distinct bend to the right (South) . Turn left (East ) across the railway on Twp Rd 524 (signposted Uncas School) and continue about 7.50 km until the T-junction at Rge Rd 210. Turn right (south) and drive about 400m then turn left (East) into the staging area. It is about a 45 minute drive from Mid Whyte Ave.

As per club guidelines, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.
