Itinerary:
Meet at the trailhead for the crag at 9:30am each day.
Friday August 19: Lake Louise (Planning to use the shuttle from Lake Louise Ski Resort to the lake to avoid the parking lot. Instructions and link to booking here: https://www.banfflakelouise.com/explorethepark/lake-louise-moraine-summer-shuttle . I am planning to book the 8am-9am timeslot.)
Saturday August 20: Carrot Creek (or Echo Canyon or Bataan?)
Sunday August 21: Heart Creek (or Grotto or somewhere else close with a short approach?)
Decided on Lake Louise for Friday the 19th, but open to other ideas for Saturday and Sunday if anyone wants to propose alternate crags.
Prerequisites / Skills Required:
Ideally confident lead belaying and climbing, minimum requirement is ability safely top rope belay.
Comfortable taking fat whips.
Ability to maintain a cool head after onsighting someone's project.
Required items to bring:
(Rental equipment available at Gravity Gear in Jasper town centre)
Rope, quickdraws, etc. will be provided by GMMC. If you prefer to bring your own, feel free to do so.
Accommodations & Carpooling:
As per club guidelines, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.
My plan is to camp at a FCFS campground. Unfortunately, all reservations are taken for this weekend. We can discuss plans further in a WhatsApp group chat closer to the trip.
