Activity Type: Drytooling

Difficulty Rating: Intermediate

Itinerary: With the ice disappearing or gone and Easter just around the corner and what a better way than to spend the weekend cracking.

Drytooling for two days. Meeting at Gorby Canyon around 8:00 and 9:00 am parking area on Saturday.

Prerequisites / Courses Required:

  • Must be able to pass a TR belay test

  • Have access to drytooling gear

  • Have ice climbed or drytooled before or just really keen (drytooling is more challenging than ice climbing, but don't let that stop you)

Required items to bring: 

  • Personal Climbing Gear: harness, belay device, helmet

  • Dry tooling gear: mountaineering boots, crampons (mono-point preferable), Ice tools (without adze head), gloves

  • warm clothes

  • Lunch

  • Love and Laughter
