This webinar will be hosted by a outreach coordinator from Y2Y conservation initiative.
Their goal is to engage with a broad range of Albertans to better understand:
How they enjoy nature
What is their experience with our mountains and protected areas
How they relate to conservation issues
GMMC Members engage in recreational and outdoors activities, and therefore, conservation matters are important to us.
Y2Ys purpose of this presentation is to learn together from people and groups who are concerned about conservation and want to preserve wildlife, nature, and their recreational spaces. With this information, we might be able to better serve people who enjoy this region, while also respecting the needs of wildlife.
The presentation will cover the socio-ecological importance of Yellowstone to Yukon regions and will highlight conservation related challenges and opportunities throughout the region. At the end of the presentation, they will open the floor for questions and also invite participants to share their thoughts and experiences related to outdoors, conservation, and recreation etc.
