Activity Type: Climbing
Difficulty Rating: Beginner, Intermediate

Itinerary: Spend some time in a field learning how to to rappel (aka abseil)

Prerequisites / Courses Required: You'll want to know how to build a basic top rope anchor, but that's not a hard requirement

Required items to bring: 

  • Harness

  • Tube-style belay device with two slots (BD ATC, Petzl Verso/Reverso, etc)

  • At least 2 locking carabiners

  • 60cm sling and/or a quickdraw

  • ~80cm loop of accessory cord for tying a Prusik, or something like the Sterling hollow block

Health & Wellness Form: This document is to be completed by trip participants & trip coordinators / leaders the day of travel to an event as well as every morning of the event
