Activity Type: Rock Climbing & Scrambling
Difficulty Rating: Intermediate

Itinerary: Getting to the top of things is fun. Let's go scrambling!

Day 1 - Scramble up Big Sister and then cool off with swimming/floating/cliff jumping in Quarry Lake.

Day 2 - Chill cragging/rock climbing at a crag around Canmore.

Note - this is rated a "moderate" scramble by Alan Kane. There are sections that are class 3 and 4 scrambling. This means using your hands to climb (and down climb) brief, but steeper sections. While the climbing is easy, there is some moderate exposure at times. You should be comfortable with a long day of walking with some easy free climbing and down climbing sections (6-8 hours round trip).

Finally - even if trip capacity is reached, don’t hesitate to sign up for wait list if interested. Possibility to create a second trip if demand is sufficient.

Prerequisites / Courses Required: Belay skills are a minimum requirement for the day 2 climbing portion of this trip. Climbing harness, climbing shoes and climbing helmet are required equipment

Required items to bring: Climbing helmet, climbing harness, belay device, rock climbing shoes, trusted hiking boots.

As per club guidelines, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.

Health & Wellness Form: This document is to be completed by trip participants & trip coordinators / leaders the day of travel to an event as well as every morning of the event.
