Club Terms and Conditions

Grant MacEwan Mountain Club - Terms and Conditions


1. Membership will be granted upon receipt of a completed membership form and annual fee.
2. Memberships purchased between January 1 and August 30 will expire December 31 of that year. Memberships purchased between September 1 and December 31 will expire December 31 of the following year.
3. Honorary membership may be granted by the Executive committee of the club to a member or past member for the period to be determined by the Executive in recognition of past services rendered to the Club.

Trip Deposits:

1. Each trip may have a specified deposit amount and the percentage of that which is non-refundable.
2. If the club must cancel an event, all monies paid by members will be reimbursed.  All amounts are in $CDN.

Paying Your Balance:

1. Each trip will have a “balance in full” payment or a “second and third payment” policy which will be stated in the trip notice as posted on the Club website.  All amounts are in $CDN.

Trip Cancellation:

1. Refunds, or portions thereof, will be issued on a case by case basis by the Trip Leader or Treasurer in consultation with the President or designate.
2. GMCC is not responsible for expenses that are incurred in preparation for any canceled trips, or for costs that are incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations or illness.

Release of Liability:

1. All members will have signed a release as a part of their membership application. This release may be viewed on the club website.
